iGEM HU 2026

The International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Competition is the world‘s largest and most prestigious student competition in the field of synthetic biology. Every year, over 400 teams from around the world present their projects at the iGEM Grand Jamboree to an international audience from the science, industry, and media sectors.

Starting for Humboldt University, i’m part of this years iGEM-Team and responsible for the communication design, Social Media and PR of our project. Our approach is to develop a bio-based PFAS Sensor which can be integrated into water remediation. Throughout the year the work on this will continouosly grow.

Logo & Project Identity

The logo depicts an iconized PFAS molecule in side view. The turning appearance suggests dynamic and progress, which stands representative for our young character and innovative approach. Combined with the color palette it visualises our product: A PFAS Sensor for water facilities.

Flyers

Flyer for crowd fundraising without scientific background. The message is adapted to the target group.

Posters

Posters for the fundraiser event: Scientitic poster (censored) and decorative identity poster.

Social Media

Instagram post slider to present our project to a student audience without giving too much insight.

Instagram post series to present our team members to fellow students and iGEMers.
